Few days after the sack of over 3,000 workers believed to be unproductive in their respective parastatals and agencies by the Governor Rochas Okorocha led administration in Imo State, another set of workers have been sacked but this time, the people’s governor was applauded.

Sources have revealed that sex workers numbering over five hundred have been sacked from the popular abode known as ‘Timaya’ at Control Post in Owerri Imo State, when the state government bulldozed the building on Saturday January 23, 2016.

The demolition which is part of the government’s ongoing ‘Imo my Pride’ project which involves demolition of illegal structures and shanties in the state capital knocked down the building which was ironically sited oposite the famous Maria Assumpta Cathedral Catholic Church Owerri.

So far, no one can say the whereabouts of the sex workers, if they have left the state or have relocated to another venue, but Imolites have commended the governor for that.
