1. The name of the website which used to be O’town Gist Entertainment will henceforth be cut down to just ‘O’town Gist’ or ‘Otown Gist’.
2. O’town Gist Forum is a new feature that will enable the general public share topics and comments on trending issues as the case may be. It will be open to everyone and we expect people reach more audience with both personal and public issues. It will require a simple registration that will enable users update their profiles later and be able to connect with other users
3. O’town Properties is another new feature as we try to inform the general public of what is up for sale, rent or lease and where in Imo State especially. The need for this came up as we will be shutting down www.sellimostate.com, with all of its features being transferred to O’town Properties. It will present buyers and sellers genuine opportunities to do business as well as make it possible for people within and outside the state to know properties that are available, their prices and locations in Imo State and beyond.
4. The reason for these changes and upgrade is to make www.otowngist.com, serve beyond the news hub it has been and become a home for people of Imo State both at home and in the diaspora especially. It will also serve better as an encyclopedia of activities of Imolites at home and abroad, while also covering some other national issues.
5. The upgrade will not affect old links nor contents and every other services rendered by the website is still retained in addition to the new ones.
6. We have also created an improved advert platform, that will enable you show the world what you have as we gear towards driving more purposeful traffic that will improve the reach on any advert you place on www.otowngist.com.
7. Our News platforms will have a better interface and we also have more social media platforms to share and reach more readers. This is good news for artistes, politicians, public figures, event planners, and all others who need to reach more people via online media. We also urge hotels, bars and event centers to take advantage of our improved PR services to reach more customers and also immortalize their activities on the internet.
8. Our Music and Video promotions are still on and we urge artistes irrespective of their genres to take advantage of it; as well as our improved Birthday/Wedding/Event page where people can share their special moments with the public.
9. Our Campus Gist column will be reignited to ensure that all our listed campuses are given wider coverage for in and off campus activities.
