The Speaker, Imo State House Assembly, Rt. Hon Acho Ihim, has left the state for Lagos on a business trip to meet with Okigwe people.

Speaker Ihim left Thursday morning from the Sam Mbakwe Airport, Owerri to the commercial city of Lagos where he is expected to meet with prominent Okigwe indigenes that has business interests across the globe.

The two-day official visit will open discussions on the possibilities and modus operandi of opening investment avenues in Okigwe in line with the dream of Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, to make the ancient city of Okigwe, the hub of tourism and industrialization in the state.

Expectedly, the Government Liaison officer, GLO, Okigwe Urban Ward I, Nze Duke Nwokoro, Managing Director, Raykon Nigeria Limited who is championing the business parley, will be on hand to receive the speaker.

Ihim undoubtedly will during the tour, broker a business deal that will drive and propel faster the rescue-mission machinery in the state.

The speaker at the airport reaffirmed the avowed commitment of the state assembly lawmakers to ensure that Governor Okorocha succeeds in completely redeeming and repositioning Imo on a sound and sustainable pedestal.
Rt.Hon. Ihim who travelled with his political and economic advisers, is expected back in the state this weekend as the house will re-convene on Tuesday, May 10, 2016.
