The Ministry of Works and Transport has commences the reconstruction of the Imo State University Teaching Hospital Road (IMSUTH) Umuna Orlu with drainages, in order to make medical facilities in the teaching hospital accessible to Imolites.

Commissioner Udoji who disclosed this to newsmen while inspecting the level of work at the road, re-rechoed the determination of Governor Okorocha’s administration to make all roads in the state motorable.

The Works and Transport Commissioner who recalled that before the Ministry embarked on the reconstruction of the road, it was a nightmare to motorists and inhabitants of the area and as such patients could not access the medical facilities at the teaching hospital due to the deplorable condition of the road commended Governor Okorocha in his effort in ensuring that new roads in the state are being constructed while old ones are also being rehabilitated, inspite of the economic meltdown in the Country.

Speaking to newsmen, a petty trader in the area, Mrs. Kalu Francisca and Mr. Donatus Eriagu in their separate speeches thanked Governor Okorocha for the quick intervention in reconstructing the road.
In another development, the Rescue Mission Government has come to the aid of the Parishioners of the Church of Immaculate Conception Umuchima in Ideato South L.G.A., by reconstructing the perimeter fence of the Parish Priest’s house that was pulled down by erosion.

According to Commissioner Udoji, Government decided to intervene in order to safe guard the Priest’s house and also promote the work of God in the area.

The Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Chibuzo Dike and the Chairman of the Parish Council, Sir Aloysius Ngoka in their Separate Speeches thanked Governor Okorocha for his quick response and prayed God to continue to guide him as he pilots the affairs of the state.
