As Nigerian workers join their counterparts all over the world in marking the 2016 workers day anniversary today, an eminent lawmaker cum business mogul, Hon Henry Udochukwu Nwawuba has sought better and improved working conditions for them.
In his goodwill message to the workers on their anniversary, Hon Nwawuba who represents Mbaitoli /Ikeduru federal constituency of Imo State in the House of Representatives, Abuja, described every Nigerian worker as an invaluable asset and stakeholder in project Nigeria.
Hon Nwawuba stated that no government in the world can do without the workers, adding that every viable democracy anywhere in the world holds it workers in high esteem by formulating and implementing those policies that would hence their welfares and living conditions.
The federal lawmaker urged the Nigerian workers to walk shoulder high and with the feeling of fulfillment that they have committed hugely to the growth, advancement and prosperity of the country.
According to Hon Nwawuba the history of the country cannot be written accurately without the ample mention of the indelible input and genuine contributions of the workers.
He appealed to the federal government to improve the packages of the country workers to enhance productivity and discipline.
