The immediate past auditor of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, South East Zone and President, Okigwe PDP Patriots, Chief Regis Uwakwe has said that Okigwe PDP leaders would not sit and watch while some elements drag the name of Ex-Governor Ikedi Ohakim to the mud.

Addressing newsmen in Owerri recently, Chief Uwakwe who is also the acting publicity secretary, PDP, South East zone faulted rumours spreading around that the former governor allegedly wrote a letter conceding the state chairmanship of Imo PDP to Orlu Zone saying that Chief Ohakim remained a foremost leader of the party in Okigwe and Imo State.And as such deserved the loyalty of all.

Speaking further, Uwakwe said if Orlu zone would convince Okigwe zone on why they want the state chairmanship of Imo PDP, there was nothing wrong in Okigwe zone supporting them.

He also maintained that, Senator Hope Uzodinma was a great leader of PDP who means well for the party even as he dismissed the purported suspension of Chief Tony Chukwu from the party.
