Yung Roc who in 2012, was famous for his ‘Yung Roc on the beat’ signature and Mo’Rhymes City record label which gave fresh artistes shelter said: “I think artistes in Owerri in 2012 worked harder than that of now because I can remember we had a very good strong hold in Owerri back then, but now many of them have disregarded the fact that the strength of the broomstick still depends on its bunch tied with one band”

He added that back then, it was easier for artistes to come together for the same cause unlike now that everyone is their own boss. He then called for peace and unity amongst artistes and other stake holders in the industry, saying that it is the only way Imo State could be rubbing shoulders with the likes of Enugu State who used to be almost at the level with it back then.
