Residents of Amadi Street, off Anokwuru Street, Owerri have cried out over noise from activities carried out by artisans like welders, aluminum fabricators and music shops.
The residents who spoke asserted that from the morning hours till late in the evening, they can barely hear themselves in the closet of their houses if they were engaged in conversation due to noises from surroundings.
They further stated that the noises from the activities of the welders and fabricators are recent development as they weren’t there before.
Students who live in the area lamented bitterly that they could no longer stay in their houses to read due to the noise and that has been affecting their academics.
The Residents therefore beckoned on relevant authorities to come to their help as they can no longer condone the noise.
