The Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere has canvassed for unity among All Progressives Congress leaders and members in Mbaise Nation.

Prince Madumere made this call last Saturday while addressing Mbaise Leadership Assembly at Umuemeri-Nkwogwu in Aboh Mbaise local government area of Imo State shortly after his arrival at the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, Owerri.

Prince Madumere who said  he was taken to the venue of the meeting by the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Hilary by surprise since he never mentioned where they were headed for , expressed gladness for the calibre of people in attendance of the meeting.

His words; “I never knew that I was coming here. My Chairman was to accompany me to somewhere in his homestead in Ezinihitte but he appealed to me to join him see someone proceeding. Surprisingly, here I am. I am happy with what I am seeing here. I owe you a word of appreciation for standing up and planning ahead even in the face of present realities.”

He used the opportunity to commend the leaders of the group led by its National Chairman, Chief Agaptus Onuoha  and other leaders for keeping the flag of APC flying and for rallying round and supporting one another, assuring them the government led by Owelle Rochas Okorocha will make them proud.

Continuing, he advised the group to accommodate others and allow those who are itching to join them to do so, saying that All Progressives Congress is a mass movement that has come to bring positive change to all and not for the few.

Adding, he commended the Mbaise Nation for having continued to work with Owelle Rochas Okorocha led Rescue Mission Government. He called on them not to listen to those who have chosen to sing in discordant tune. He reminded them about their sons and daughters who are in strategic positions in the Owelle Rochas Okorocha’s administration.

He therefore charged the National Chairman, Chief Agaptus Onuoha to create room for others who are interested and willing to join and work with their group.

Speaking earlier, Dr. Hilary Eke while introducing Prince Madumere eulogized him for his loyalty and supportive roles to Governor Okorocha to ensure that Rescue Mission Government succeeds.

He thanked immensely for his accessibility and for always being there, which he demonstrated by agreeing to join him without asking questions. He described Prince Madumere as the apex leader of Owerri zone who has at all times given people the free hands to succeed in their various pursuit in their differing immediate environment to the State level.

In the same vein,  the National Chairman of the APC support group of Mbaise extraction, Dr. Agaptus Onuoha showered encomium on Prince Madumere for coming, saying his presence has further inspired its members to even work harder.
