Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha has carried out a minor cabinet reshuffle. A top government official confirmed.
Vitalis Ajumbe was dropped as Information, Public Utilities and Tourism Commissioner. He may be reassigned to another Ministry considering his total commitment to the ideals of the Rescue Mission government.
Before his appointment as Information Commissioner, Ajumbe was Commissioner of Internal Resources and Pension Matters.
Mr. Kelechi Okpaleke was sacked as Special Adviser on Information and Strategy/ Director General, Imo Orientation Agency. He was in the forefront of defending government policies especially the feud between the State Government and Workers in the State last year by featuring in various radio programmes defending the policies of his principal.
Mr. Obinna Nshirim, Ikeduru Local Government Area Transition Committee Chairman was relieved of his appointment. In his place, Evan Enwerm (Jnr), a son of former Imo State Governor and Senate President, Chief Evan Enwerem was appointed to replace him.
New Appointments were also made. Mr. Ralph Afoaku ,a former member Interim Management Committee of Imo Broadcasting Corporation, IBC, now heads the Corporation as acting Director General of the Corporation.
