The Imo state Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has described as insulting and a slap on his face about the rumor that made the rounds that he was slapped by a female ghost.

Addressing a press conference in Owerri, the state capital, the Governor who was furious about the rumor said that the paddlers of the rumor were not fair to him by alleging that he was slapped by a mere female ghost.

According to the Governor, his traducers would had been fair to him by speculating that he was slapped by a male ghost instead of a female ghost.

Owelle Okorocha asserted that as the Governor of the state he is the head of all principalities and deities in the state.
He mocked the ghost by saying that he wished to see the ghost as no deity has the capacity to subdue him.

Owelle Okorocha who is the chairman of Progressives Governors forum said that he wished to see the Nworia female ghost who he accused his traducers and the opposition in the state of saying that it slapping him.

The Governor urged the people of the state to beware of rumor and superstition as they are capable of hindering the development of the state.

Owelle Okorocha urged the people of the state to support him, pray, instead of engaging in unsubstantiated speculation that he was slapped by a female ghost which he waved aside with a wave of hand, saying that it was not possible.

The Governor said that it was not possible, informing that he meant well for the state, that his actions were geared towards bettering the state, even as he enjoined the opposition in the state to pray for him instead of wishing him dead.
