A widow Mrs. Chinyere Eberechi from Umuagu Onusa Nkwerre Ward 1 in Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo State has cried out for help as torrential wind blew off the roof of her thatched house, while she is planning the burial of her late husband.

Mrs Eberechi who is now homeless just as her husband’s corpse is still in the mortuary was hit by the ordeal on Friday, October 21, 2016 after a heavy downpour. While the rain damaged most of her belongings and those of her eight children, the mud house is also close to crumbling because of its age and the effect of the persistent rain in the area.

With her husband’s burial ceremony fixed for Friday, November 2016, the widow is still skeptical as she cannot be burying her husband while she is still homeless. She is therefore calling on well-meaning Nigerian and philanthropists home and abroad to come to her aide so as to prevent further disaster as she has no one else to run to.
