In what will be considered an epic group C clash, Imo State Bloggers Association defeated their Comedian counterparts by a lone goal to record their first win in the opening game of Imo Based Artiste League Football Competition which is being held in partnership with the office of the SSA to Imo State Governor on Entertainment and Public Affairs, held by Hon. Chukwunonye Iruno.
The comedians who fielded a tough celebrity side could not record a shot on target in the match which the bloggers scored with their second shot on target before the end of the first half, going ahead to defend it till the end of the game.
Mc Egeigwe, Tboy, Ominimin, Yellowmouth, led the comedians while the likes MC Ogene, Aso Rock and Prince White were introduced later after the break against a bloggers’ team which had Hardy, Nocd, BB, XP and Mr. Starz as the goalkeeper.
The first half break saw the cutting of a birthday cake by MC Banana Mouth who also marked his birthday the same day, while the Hon. Commissioner for Youth and Sports, did the kickoff of the tournament which had its opening proceedings starting at the Bongo Center with a road show that then took the entertainers to Owerri City School, along Wetheral Road, Owerri, where the match took place.
