The Imo Government House Committee on Entertainment which has MC Banana Mouth as a member has suspended the ace comedian for what it called ‘gross misconduct’.
Although the statement by Tuclean Sopuruchi, the Secretary of the committee did not go into details, it is believed to be as a result of the activities he had championed following the failure of AMA Awards to hold in Imo State on December 2, 2016.
Banana had called for the removal of the SSA on entertainment Hon. Chukwunonye Iruno and then tipping himself as a replacement. He was later seen projecting other names, while a number of others were posting campaign banners which had his name on Facebook.
There had also been rumours of protests by a section of artistes loyal to the comedian as they are planning on matching to the government house Owerri, with placards.
