To show respect to their late colleague, Imo State based artistes have set aside Thursday February 9, 2017 for a ‘Candle Night’ in honour of late rapper, Ikenna Ogbaegbe aka Dawn Tawn.
According to the Senior Special Assistance to Imo State Governor on Entertainment and Public Affairs, Hon. Chukwunonye Iruno, who urged the entertainment community in Imo State to attend the event en masse, the event will last for one hour at Bongo Center, after which normal activities will continue.
“It’s indeed going to be a Solemn Moment for the members of the Entertainment Community in Imo State, the bereaved family and friends of the Late Hip pop Artistes, Dawn Tawn, as we gather for a “One-Hour Candle Night”, on his behalf, Tomorrow, Thursday, 9th February, 2017, beginning 7pm, at the Bongo Center, IICC, Owerri”, Hon. Iruno wrote.
He however urged artistes to be on black for the event, adding; “May His Creative Soul and those of other faithfuls departed find a peaceful rest in God’s bosom in Jesus Name”
Dawn Tawn will be laid to rest on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at his home town Obodoukwu Autonomous Community, Ideator North Local Government Area of Imo State.
A release by the family has it that a funeral service will be held at Ekulieaka family compound in Obodoukwu Autonomous Community while internment will follow at same venue.
