The Majority leader of Imo State House of Assembly and member representing Owerri Municipal Council, Hon. Lugard Igwe has resigned from his position as leader of the ruling party APC in the House.

Hon. Lugard Igwe took to Facebook to write, “I have this morning in interest of Imo State House of Assembly resign my position as the Majority Leader of the House.”

The resignation will surely have something to do with the recent fracas among lawmakers in the state which led them to shun Gov. Rochas Okorocha on the day he was supposed to present the 2018 budget to them.
