The Senior Special Assistant on Entertainment to Imo State Governor, Hon. Chukunonye Irouno has urged the newly elected executive of Imo State chapter of Actors Guild of Nigeria to be servant leaders.

Hon. Irouno who made the charge at Imo State Government House Owerri when the group paid him a courtesy visit, further stating that they should embrace peace and ensure they work with everyone that to ensure the guild moves to another level.

The courtesy visit which was to thank the Okigwe born politician and compere for standing by the guild during the days storm had Nollywood Veteran actor Prince Tom Njemanze introduce the executives and also stating that there was need for them to identify with Hon. Irouno who did not turn his back on them when the guild was faced with issues caused by two factions.

Prince Njemanze further hailed Irouno for the quality he has brought to the entertainment industry, adding that he has really made Gov. Rocha Okorocha’s presence visible in the industry.

Also speaking, ace movie producer and director Mr. Lambert Nnorom Jr. hailed Hon. Irouno for his role in restoring peace to Imo AGN, adding that they will take advantage of the peace and unity to achieve great things in the guild.

Mr. Nnorom pleaded with Hon. Irouno to use his good office to ensure the guild gets a takeoff point they can call their own, adding that having such offices, will make it easier for them to operate and implement their plans for the guild.

The Chairman Comr. Nneoma Ukpabi in her speech, stressed on the need for a proper hand over, to enable them take off properly. While consolidating the points made by others, the actress stated that a proper handover will enable them know where to start and how to go about it.

She then reemphasized the need for the guild to have a proper database, adding that it will be one of her regimes first point of call to ensure that every member of the guild in the state will have a means of identification.

Reacting, Hon. Chukwunonye Irouno urged them to always use the peaceful approach to execute their plans, adding that the outgone Chairman has promised to organize a proper handover.

He further urged them to treat everyone fairly, while adding that they should always respect their past leaders because one day, they would be in position to demand the same respect.

Hon. Irouno took time to hail the regime of Conac Umez, whom he said cannot be written off in the history of Imo AGN, adding that the newly elected executives should be diplomatic on the issue of the Coasta Bus, until they hear Mr. Conac saying he will never hand it over to them.
