Imo Youths are advised to be mindful of misinformed opinion especially the ones emanating from the social media about the present administration and its programmes.
The Commissioner for Information, Professor Nnamdi Obiaraeri gave the advice while commenting the efforts of Okigwe structural youth leaders who embarked upon a fact finding tour projects carried out by the Rescue Mission Government within the zone.
Professor Obiarareri said the Youth’s step confirmed that the massive infrastructural development in Okigwe zone and the entire state at large was not a fluke.
He maintained that Okigwe zone had witnessed remarkable infrastructural uplift since the inception of the Rescue Mission Administration pointing out that Okigwe now has faculties of engineering and environmental sciences, six General Hospitals, College of Education Ihitte/Uboma, Imo Polytechnic Ehime Mbano, Imo State University Teaching Hospital Maternal Referral Centre Obowo, Okigwe Ultra Modern Stadium and Malaysian Market.
Professor Obiaraeri further pointed out that the Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha meant well for the people of Okigwe zone and urged the youth not to relent in their support for the present government.
The Mayor of Okigwe, Mr. Sunny Chiadi expressed appreciation to the group for the visit saying that Governor Okorocha has executed visible projects in the zone.
Mr. Chiadi said the zone had benefitted a lot from the present administration including bringing it to line-light.
The Director of Administration and General Services of Okigwe local government Mr. Innocent Ekwueme that of Ehime Mbano Mr. Kingsley Amadi and their Isiala Mbano Counterpart Mr. Victor Ayozie lauded the transformation projects in Okigwe zone, adding that Okigwe has gotten its fair share.
The Leader of the group, Prince Kelechi Iwueze who is also the Commissioner Representing Okigwe zone in Judicial Service Commission, applauded the state government for the development in the zone, disclosing that the Commendation is coming against the back drop of false speculations in the social media that development had not reached Okigwe zone.
