The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has called upon to provide the necessary logistics needed for smooth registration of voters.
The Archbishop of Owerri Catholic Archdiocese, Most Rev. Anthony Obinna made the call in his homily during a church service at the Maria Assumpta Cathedral, Owerri.
Archbishop Obinna advised those who have not obtained their Permanent Voters Card, PVC to go and register and get them without delay.
The Prelate also advised politicians not to see politics as a do or die affair, adding that during elections most of them engage themselves in nefarious activities to occupy one position or the other.
Archbishop Obinna enjoined the electorate to be careful in casting their votes by not accepting gratifications but to ensure that credible candidates were voted for.
He said this was one of the prominent items in the agenda of their just concluded Catholic Archbishop Conference held in Ore, Edo State with the theme: “Towards Godly and Outstanding General Elections in Nigeria”.
