Lukman Muhammed early spot kick goal handed Katsina United vital three points as they beat 10-man Heartland Fc 1 – 0 in one of the NPFL matchday 13 decided at the Muhammodu Dikko Stadium in Katsina
Katsina United has now extended their unbeaten home record to 25 as they are yet to taste defeat at home since last season.
The Changi Boys have now shut to eight position on the league table at the back of this vital victory. They have garnered 17 points from 12 games.
While Heartland Fc have dropped to 18th on the league table with 13 points picked from also from 12 games.
The game did not actually leave up to its billing as pace was lacking and both teams looked tired.
The first clear cut chance resulted to the only goal of the game just 2 minutes into the game as Ubah handled the ball with his a goal strike by Tasiu Lawal and the Centre Referee pointed at the spot.
Lukman Muhammed stepped forward and calmly dispatch the kick past the goalkeeper to give katsina United early lead.
Heartland fought back and came close on 16th minutes as but Fund’s long range strike went wide
Tasiu Lawal’s strike that could have doubled the hosts advantage came off the upright on 25th minutes
Fudd forced Dami Paul to a great save on 4th minutes to deny Heartland the equalizer.
