The Ikeji Festival, more than any festival in the South-East has remained the pride of the Arondizougu people in the Ideato North LGA of Imo State. From year to year, it keeps evolving in culture and style, colour and glamour and has assumed its place in history as one of Nigeria’s finest indigenous festivals.
No doubt, this festival which holds in it the unifying antidote that brings together all sons, daughters and well wishers of Arondizougu clan, shall soon occupy its rightful place as a National festival of note.
Therefore I, Hon.Prince Daniel Kanu heartily felicitate with Ndi-Izuogu and the entire friends and well wishers of the clan on the colorful occasion of Ikeji festival.
The road leading to Arondizougu from Akokwa down to Okigwe, which the Daniel Kanu Foundation has began its rehabilitation with an initial sum of N100Million is a testament that this year, my desire is to see a hitch free celebration. As you return to your various destinations, it is my prayer that you arrive safely and sound.
