The immediate past Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Emeka Ihedioha , says the Peoples Democratic Party will sack President Muhammadu Buhari from office despite the All Progressives Grand Alliance ’s romance with the Nigerian leader.
Ihedioha said Nigerians had suffered enough in the hands of the current administration and needed to be liberated by the PDP in 2019.
The ex -lawmaker stated this in a statement by his aide, Chibuike Onyeukwu .
Ihedioha was reacting to a report in which the APGA National Chairman , Victor Oye , was quoted as saying that he ( Ihedioha ) would leave the PDP for APGA .
Ihedioha said the statement credited to the APGA national chairman was “ unwarranted, mischievous and a misplaced demand, borne out of mere imagination. ”
The statement read in part , “ Chief Oye had urged Ihedioha to dump the PDP and join forces with APGA members in the South -East , as according to him , it is the easiest route through which Ihedioha can advance his political career .
“ We , however, reiterate , that he is not desperate for power and wish to state with humility that Ihedioha will, by the grace of God , realise his political dreams through the PDP.”
