The State Government has reiterated it directive for traders within Owerri, the State capital to relocate to the designated market for their commercial activities without delay.

A release by the Deputy Chief Of Staff, Operations, Engr. Kingsley Uju warned that failure to adhere to this directive will attract penalties.

The release advised building materials dealers and artisans to relocate to Naze Building Material Market and Naze Industrial Cluster while electrical, electronics and auto parts dealers should move to Alaba International Market, Aba road and Avu market, adding that Relief Market along Egbu road is for food stuff.

It adds that Provision, Cosmetics, Medicine, Wears, Shoes and other fancy products as well as household equipment and other general goods and timber dealers are advised to move to Egbeada International Market and Umuonyeali Timber Market.

Similarly, traders originally allotted shops at Egbeada International Market are directed to open them and commence business immediately.

A release by the Commissioner for Non-Informal Sector and Market Developments warns that failure to comply with this directive will amount to re-allotting the said shops to other people.
