Meanwhile, a day after the Imo APC congresses, more than 20 lawmakers of the state House of Assembly were said to have rejected Mr. Lugard Osuji as the new majority leader of the state.
It was gathered yesterday in Owerri that the aggrieved lawmakers tried to stop the Speaker, Mr Acho Ihim from recognizing Osuji as the new majority leader of the Assembly.
We were also reliably informed that the member representing Ehime Mbano state constituency, Mr Lawman Duruji, is currently spear-heading the protest against new changes in the House.
They maintained that procedures were not followed in the changes made by the Speaker and that his move was personal and could jeopardize the peace in the House.
It would be recalled that Mr. Uche Oguwuike was removed by the Speaker and replaced with Osuji.
