A new national consciousness platform called ‘Good Governance Ambassadors of Nigeria (GOGAN) aimed to drive unity among Nigerians is set to launch.
GOGAN, a non-governmental organisation made of patriotic Nigerians from all walks of life committed to entrenching the culture of hate for corruption is a brain child of Chief Felix Idiga. It is founded in line and in support of President Muhammadu Buhari’s fight for corruption in the country.
Set to unveil on Monday July 30, at the NAF Conference Centre, Abuja, the founder and chairman of GOGAN, Chief Idiga disclosed during a press briefing that the aim and objective of the organisation among other things is an investiture and the declaration of support for President Muhammadu Buhari’s 2019 reelection bid. “Good Governance Ambassadors of Nigeria is a non governmental organization made up of patriotic Nigerians who are committed to entrenching the culture of hate for corruption and adherence to democratic echoes in our national life. In additional to advocacy, GOGAN will also strive to identify public office holders who are models of Good Governance for recognition, commendation and encouragement,” says Chief Felix Idiga.
“We recognize that the above task is onerous and achieving it requires the collective efforts of Nigerians of good conscience, whose love and passion for a better progressive and prosperous Nigeria is not in doubt,” he added. According to him, “The unveiling ceremony marks the beginning of a paradigm shift from a culture that celebrates illicit acquisition of wealth and carefree attitude towards public service as a norm. It will kick start a system that recognizes and rewards hard work, integrity and accountability. We recognize the need to identify and partner with these eminent Nigerians.
