ormer Vice President and presidential aspirant in the 2019 election, Atiku Abubakar has underscored restructuring of the country as being agitated for by various groups in the country, as the panacea to national cohesion, development and ending pro Biafra agitation by IPOB and MASSOB.

Atiku, who was accompanied by Director-General of his Campaign organization and former governor of Ogun State, Gbenga Daniel and other supporters, spoke yesterday in Umuahia, when he came to seek the support of PDP members for his presidential bid. He told journalists that contrary to belief in some quarters, the north was not opposed to re-structuring the country. He also said that the agitation for Biafra will rest when the agitating component units are brought into the mainstream and given their due share of the country’s resources distributed equitably and pledged to do so if elected president.
