Imo State women group has congratulated their governor-in-waiting, Chief Uche Ugwumba Nwosu as he marks his birthday anniversary today, August 8, 2018.
The group at their annual women “August Meeting” yesterday, hosted by the Imo State First Lady Nneoma Rochas Okorocha, held at a playground in Owerri, Imo State capital lauded the sterling quality of the Imo State governor’s chief of staff, Chief Uche Ugwumba Nwosu saying that the good works of Rochas Okorocha government must be continued in his administration so as to make Imo a state on the lead of great development and growth in West Africa.
The women in their numbers who celebrated the all important August Meeting in the presence of Nneoma Rochas Okorocha and Nigeria’s First Lady, Aisha Buhari, ably represented by Dolapo Osinbajo, wife of Vice President displayed their massive support to his ambition ahead of the 2019 governorship polls in Imo State stating; “When a man is dauntless, intellectually vibrant and operates in angelic realms, his paths will enjoy glorious advancements through grace and countless achievements.
Chief Uche Ugwumba Nwosu, the chief of staff to Imo state government and frontline aspirant for the Imo gubernatorial election has added another year to his years of impact and visionary opportunities for Imo state. His giant strides in leadership, philanthropy, governance and impartation in the lives of Imolites have opened the floodgates of congratulatory messages, goodwill remarks and celebrations to mark his birthday, even without Uche Ugwumba’s consent.
“As a detailed politician who recognises the importance of philanthropy, Nwosu has been very active in assisting and improving the lives of people and institutions, especially those that are disadvantaged and unemployed. He has left no stone unturned, yet still searching in his mission to eradicate poverty, promote entrepreneurship and eventually create an “Ivory Tower” for Imolites in the state. Imolites celebrate their “Rainbow of Hope”, reflecting on his commitments and sacrifices for Imo state. In his astute and benevolent nature, he has provided hope and several reasons why Imolites must rejoice, believing that tomorrow can be better.
The youths also lend their voice saying; “As a young iconic leader and a mentor to youths in Imo state and across Southeast, Chief Nwosu has over the years stopped at nothing to create vast opportunities for youths to explore, so as to become empowered for a better living and relevance in the heartland.”
Amongst his global recognition and distinguished awards, is the recent African Achievers Awards, where he was decorated with the African Youth Empowerment Award at the UK parliament house in London. The event was themed “Girl child rights to Education” and Chief Ugwumba is in a concluding stage of his book on Girl Child Education, which will be distributed across the country.
