The Okigwe Consultative Assembly, a group of young entrepreneurs and professionals from the six local government areas of Okigwe Zone in Imo State, has resolved to support the gubernatorial bid of the leading aspirant under the banner of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Mr. Okey Ezeh.

The resolution was contained in a 12-point communique issued by the group after its general meeting in Ogii, Okigwe LGA, on Thursday.

The communique explained that, “Mr. Okey Ezeh as a governorship aspirant on the platform of APGA possesses the most sterling qualities needed for the ideal governor Imo yearns for.

“The track record of Mr. Ezeh as an accomplished technocrat of high repute, including his roadmap for Imo economic regeneration known as the Imo Marshal Plan (I-MAP), singles him out as the most prepared and qualifies him for the position above anyone else.”

“It has become imperative for us to declare our position and to guide Imo people aright, for we cannot afford to gamble with this rare opportunity to place Imo among the comity of prosperous states.”

Addressing newsmen, the President of the Assembly, Dr. Joel Nze, further urged all Imolites, especially APGA faithful, to support Ezeh to fly the party’s governorship flag in 2019 so as to unseat those he described as “the broom-wielding tormentors of the people.”

He also recalled the sacrifices Ezeh made for Imo APGA. “Ezeh stood solidly behind the party when the leaders abandoned the party in the aftermath of a poor outing in 2015. He saw what many couldn’t see. He invested when the possibility of returns wasn’t there. He is simply a man of vision and faith,” he eulogized.
