The governorship ambition of Hon.Tony Nwulu appears to have taken off on a frenetic pace as the young guber aspirant on Sunday parleyed with key and notable political leaders from Orlu zone.
Nwulu who had engaged in series of town hall meetings at the weekend with key stakeholders in Imo State maintained that his desire to join the Imo guber race was driven by his undying passion to correct the wrongs of past administrations in Imo.

Speaking during an interactive season with Orlu Elders and notable political leaders, Nwulu who hails from Ezinihitee Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State but represents Oshodi/Isolo Federal Constituency in Lagos State, assured that he will combine the fountain of wisdom of the elderly and the zeal of the youths to rebuild Imo State if elected Governor in 2019.

He frowned at the economic state of the good people of Imo State who had hoped for a change but now traumatized by the alarming level of poverty perpetuated by a failed government.

He expressed worry how poverty has sunk so deep in the State coupled with the alarming rate of unemployment.

On his ambition to become Imo State Governor, Nwulu said he is committed towards correcting the wrongs of past governments in the State, stating that his administration will place emphasis on correcting this anomaly.

He promised to run a representative government which signals his commitment to good governance and not to betray the confidence of the people reposed in him.

Unveiling his roadmap that would lead to a better Imo State, he said the dignity of every one will be restored and the air of poverty will be blown away for good.

He also promised to run a government to be made up of 80% youths, stating that as a youth, he will ensure that their dreams and expectations come true.

The State Chairman of Orlu Elders Council, Prof Francis Dike commended the lawmaker for availing himself for the guber race.

The parley was witnessed by former Deputy Governorship candidate of the UPP in 2015 elections, Prof Protus Uzorma, Former Deputy National Chairman of UPP, Prof Chima Okwuko, Former IMSU Vice Chancellor, Engr.Chime Nzeribe, Dr. Esom Obodo and members of Nwulu’s Mezie Imo Movement.
