President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated his predecessor, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, on attaining 61, stating that he remains an inspiration to every young Nigerian of the possibilities that await anyone willing to learn, work hard and participate in making the country great.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, the president also lauded the celebrant on the publishing of his memoir, My Transition Hours, which will be launched today in Abuja as part of ceremonies marking the birthday.
The president encouraged Nigerians to emulate the gesture.
Meanwhile, Buhari yesterday, lauded the existing relationship between Nigeria and India, describing it as mutually beneficial.
He spoke when the outgoing Indian High Commissioner to Nigeria, B.N Reddy, paid him a farewell visit at the State House.
The president recalled that he had his military staff college training in the Asian country in the early 1970s and commended the nation for managing its multi-party democracy quite well.
