The recently announce Imo APC Deputy Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC, Barr C.O.C Akaolisa has revealed that he will soon relinquish the position.
According to Barr. Akaolisa, who is now the running mate of Senator Hope Uzodinma, Owerri Zone will eventually produce a deputy governorship candidate for APC as he is only holding the position temporarily.
He revealed that the campaign team is doing everything possible to dialogue with the Owerri Zone for the best possible candidate ahead of 2019 elections, adding that everything has to be perfect as Sen. Uzodinma will liberate Imo State from exploitation and raise the standard of peace, happiness and joy that flows from democratic governance and technological growth.
“Since our triumph in the seemingly impossible APC governorship battle in Imo, and my temporary deputy governorship candidate status, I have refused to speak based on my desire to ensure that I speak at the right time. I am however constrained to assure our teaming Imo supporters that I shall not hold on to the ticket for deputy governor which we have agreed will go to Owerri zone”

“I therefore urge all our supporters to disregard the rumour that Senator Hope Uzodinma will surrender the ticket for an Owerri person and take the senate ticket.
