One of Nigeria’s business mogul and billionaire of repute, Chief Tony Chukwu from Ehime Mbano has attracted the commendation of the Presidency of federal Republic of Nigerian over his giant strides in community development and empowerment.
Making the commendation were a powerful team from the Presidency who visited the state during the burial of the mother of Chief Longers Anyanwu which took place on 26th October, 2018 at Amanze, Obowo LGA, in Imo State.
The team which represented the President include a Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President, Alhaji Ibrahim BabaTep and a Senator representing Adamawa South, Ahmed Abubakar Mo-Allahyidi.
Also in the team is the Chairman of the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) and two time honourable minister of the federal republic of Nigeria, as well as the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial candidate for Zamfara, AlhajiIkra Bilbis.
Bilbis was a one-time former Information Minister during the late Yaradu’a administration as well as the Housing Minister under former President Olusegun Obasanjo. He is Muhammadu Buhari’s friend of 30 years.
Col. Mustapha Abdallah, the Executive National Chairman of the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) was also present.
In his remark at the funeral, Abdallah advised Imo youths to follow the good footsteps of Chief Tony Chukwu and keep away from illicit drugs.
He also used the occasion to pray for the family of Longers Anyanwu over the loss of their mother.
In a familiarization tour of the communities, the presidential guests were shown an 8km road built by Chukwu covering Umuakagu-Odenkume-Obowo road. The people of the area openly expressed their gratitude and happiness to Chukwu over the effort as well as other acts of kindness.
Moved by the development, the Presidency expressed their appreciation over the kind gesture and magnanimity while calling upon him to provide them directions to follow for the 2019 forth coming elections especially here in the South East
They further commended him for doing so much to reach the leaders in the South East to believe in the Buhari Project. They also appreciated him for offering himself as a willing tool to ensure that the presidential ambition of Muhammadu Buhari is realized.
However, a Daily Nigerian Horn investigation has revealed that some top big wigs of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) of Nigeria would in the next couple of days or weeks collapse into the All Progressives Congress (APC) because of the massive support of the multibillionaire (Tony Chukwu) for the Presidency here in the South East.
Political pundits believe that the massive goodwill Chief Chukwu enjoys within the area will yield huge political dividend for PMB thus enhancing his chances in the South East.
It will be recalled that this area remains a hard nut to crack for President Buhari who has promised to do more for the area if voted for in 2019.
