A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Longers Anyanwu has condemned the National Assembly for its glorification of shame during President Muhammadu Buhari’s presentation of 2019 budget.
Anyanwu disclosed this on Monday in a press statement availed Daily Nigerian Horn.
He frowned at the sensationalization and politicization of budget presentation.
Anyanwu reminded members of National Assembly that budget considerations and passage by NASS is a fundamental reason for its establishment and existence.
He urged the lawmakers to allow patriotism take first step at all times ahead of parochial or partisan sentiments, neither for APC.
Anyanwu therefore called on every well meaning Nigerian to call on their respective representatives at all level to desist from acts that are capable of truncating our democracy.
