The governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, in Imo State, Sir Okey Ezeh has said that 2019 will be a covenant year for the people of the State.

In a Christmas message to Imo people which was made available to newsmen on Monday by the Director of Media and Publicity, Okey Ezeh Campaign Organization, Prince Collins Opurozor, Ezeh assured the people that the harsh governmental policies that have brought untold sufferings to them will soon be dumped in the museum of history.

He added that squalor, unemployment, infrastructural decadence and poor healthcare delivery are things which the State should have absolutely no business with.

The renowned investment banker emphasized that the best way Government can keep the citizenry happy at Christmas is not by building Christmas trees but by tackling all economic and structural encumbrances that bring about mass misery and undermine collective happiness.
Ezeh further urged the people to keep hope alive, saying that the joy of the birth of Christ should renew their faith in a better Imo State which is filled with opportunities, peace and prosperity.
