The Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Imo State chapter is still in shock following the departure of its three members in the Imo House of Assembly, Hon Mike Iheanetu, Hon Bruno Ukoha and Hon Ken Agbim.

Hon Iheanetu is from Aboh Mbaise Constituency, Ukoha is from Ezinihitte Mbaise and Agbim is Ahiazu Constituency.

Trumpeta learnt that the three Lawmakers of PDP extraction in the Imo House of Assembly, are said to have pitched tent with the Action Alliance AA, where they have been given tickets under the party’s platform to run for the 2019 election, which their old party, PDP could not give them.

While speaking to Trumpeta on phone, Hon Mike Iheanetu confirmed that the trio have dumped PDP, but were yet to fulfill the processes by officially decamping at the chamber of the House.

“As parliamentarians, we are yet to do that on the floor of the House. But AA has put our names on the Ballot which PDP could not do after we worked for the party, including denying our selves various carrots dangled at us by the ruling Government”, Iheanetu said.

However, a source in the PDP told Trumpeta that the three Lawmakers remain PDP members because they are yet to inform the party if they have changed parties, which is the proper thing to do.

Meanwhile, that the three Lawmakers are from Owerri and Mbaise Nation in particular had raised eyebrows in different quarters, as some people say their action is shocking and incredible, since their brother Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha is the Governorship candidate of the PDP.

“They should have stayed behind and help their brother win the Governorship seat which Owerri people are clamouring for” the source said.

But others said that Iheanetu, Ukoha and Agbim all lost out during the PDP primaries either through zoning formular or failure in the primaries.

They believe is that the “run-away” Lawmakers are only looking for what they can get from Okorocha, who is the “Owner” of AA, and desperately looking for candidates for the party, who will help him foist his son inlaw, Chief Uche Nwosu as his successor and next Governor of Imo State.

“These people cannot win election in their constituencies. They were zoned out after serving out their tenure in the House of Assembly. AA cannot carry them over in 2019 election”, a source told Trumpeta.
