How else would one perfectly explain the failing National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomole’s recent visit to Imo State where he officially declared APC dead in Imo State? The Comrade who had been described as an undertaker who was appointed to bury APC delivered on his job description when in he chronicled the failure of APC in Imo State during the 21st December, 2018 APC flag-off campaign rally in Owerri.
Comrade Oshiomole while performing his usual theatrics enumerated areas of failure by the APC Government in Imo State. Oshiomole however tried to play with the sensibility of Imo people when after enumerating the failure of the current APC administration in the areas of embezzlement and diversion of bailout fund, Paris Club Loan Refunds, unpaid and accumulated pension arrears, shortchanging of Imo workers with payment 70% salaries, poor construction, family business and nepotism etc, yet urged Imo people to elect another failure from the same APC to govern the state. Oshiomole’s outbursts against his own government only confirmed the verdict of Imo people that APC government has been a massive failure in the state and federal level.
The only strange thing in Oshiomole’s gibberish was his failed attempt to absolve APC from the monumental failure it has now become in the state. He, no doubt added salt to an open wound when he suggested to Ndi Imo to ditch one APC administration to elect another. To Oshiomole, Imo people should reject Okorocha and embrace another disaster in the making under the same failure APC party. We wish to inform Oshiomole that Imo is the state of the most enlightened citizens of Nigeria. Imo people cannot be hoodwinked nor can they be taken in by the empty rhetoric of a failing party Imo people and Nigerians have totally rejected.
The failure of the purported Imo APC flag-off campaign rally ought to serve as a lesson to Oshiomole that Imo people are fed up with the APC and their associated branches in APGA and AA and would stop at nothing to do away with APC and all their associated candidates in any other political parties.
Imo people have not forgotten in a hurry how millions of Imo tax payer’s funds were used by Governor Okorocha to sponsor the last APC National Convention where Comrade Oshiomole emerged the biggest beneficiary. APC cannot be absolved of the monumental looting of Imo public funds under the current APC administration. Oshiomole cannot pretend the APC cares for Imo people, when the party has been part of the misgovernance in the state.
The purported APC flag-off campaign in Imo was a massive flop as major ticket holders of the party boycotted. The mere fact that Emma Ojinere, Hon. Chike Okafor, Obinna Mbata, Hon. Ralph Nnanna Igbokwe, Hon. Ugonna Ozuruigbo and many other APC National Assembly ticket holders boycotted the event which was supposed to mark the handing over of the party’s flag to them by National Chairman shows that APC is dead in Imo. What better way can a National Chairman who could not conduct a credible primaries for the selection of candidates to run under the party’s banner be treated than the manner he was ignored by his own party ticket holders in Imo.
Comrade Oshiomole lacks the moral standing to challenge a co-failure like the APC government of Imo State. This is why o people have resolved to vote PDP at all levels, being the only party that conducted credible primaries in Imo. Imo people cannot replace failure with a potential disaster. Therefore having lost faith in APC and their vestiges in APGA and AA, Imo people have chosen to vote PDP massively come 2019 elections.
Oshiomole has conducted the APC funeral in Imo and Imo people cannot wait to do the final interment of the remains of the party when they exercise their free will to the People’s Democratic Party with their PVC come 2019
