Key stakeholders who were once political allies in the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Imo State, have now turned into political cat and mouse as they scramble for the sole ministerial slot to the State.

While there are strong indications that Senator Hope Uzodinma who was the party’s governorship candidate in the governorship election in the State, is in serious contention to be named a Minister, there are indications that former Deputy Governor of the State, Eze Madumere has also joined the fray.

Party sources confirmed to this newspaper that Ex Governor Rochas Okorocha’s camp has been completely shut out from making any nomination.

The State Chapter of the party led by Prince Marcellinus Nlemigbo was said to have made three recommendations to the National Working Commitee, NWC, on possible nominees for ministerial appointment.

This newspaper had reported last month that the party leadership and the presidency may consider appointing a Minister from Imo State who posses the capacity “to roar back the APC to life in the State”

” Imo State is a unique State and very important to the governing party after losing the governorship election to the PDP.
