The 32-year-old stunned the world in 2012 when he scored a total of 91 goals in a calendar year to break Gerd Muller’s over decade record of 85 goals.
Having achieved the feat at the end of the year, the Argentine gifted Muller one of his jerseys in a bid to pay respect to the legend with a message: “For Gerd Müller / My respect and admiration / A hug.
After receiving the jersey, Muller decided to send it to the Bavarians so it can be on show in the Allianz Arena. The club agreed to the request and the jersey is the only non-Bayern Munich material in the history of the club’s museum. The shirt is also presented alongside a message from former Barca president Sandro Rossell to Bayern chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
