Nigeria High Commission Singapore alongside Trade Nigeria in partnership with other national and international bodies have revealed a perfect way to mark Nigeria’s 59th Indeoendence Day celebration in Singapore.
The event which is tagged ‘Nigeria @ 59 National Day Awards 2019 Singapore’ is part of joint trade missioned designed to strengthen business relationships between Nigeria, Singapore and other Asian countries.
The event which is tagged ‘Nigeria @ 59 National Day Awards 2019 Singapore’ is part of the Nigeria Asia Business Forum, a Nigeria – Asia Joint Trade Mission and Business Delegation Of Industries Investments And Commerce to Asia 2019/2020 is designed to strengthen business relationships between Nigeria, Singapore and other Asian countries. It will also afford Nigerians in Singapore the opportunity to connect with their root, as well as have Singaporeans experience the reach cultural heritage of Nigeria.
With the Independence Day edition billed for Singapore from Wednesday 2nd to Sunday 6th of, October 2019, there will also be another edition of the event between December 5th and 12th 2019, in South Korea.
The October event which is packaged by Nigeria High Commission Singapore alongside Trade Nigeria in collaboration with Transnational Trade and Commerce Centre and Center For International Trade Promotions, Investment Economic, Research and Development, will go beyond boosting trade relationships to honour outstanding personalities in the Nigerian – Asian business realm.
Honour Nwabueze Buchi George, the Executive Director of Trade Nigeria, said it is important to honour individuals who have made bilateral contributions in the development of the Nigeria – Asia trade relationship.
“There’s no better way to celebrate our 59th Independence Day Anniversaries but to do it with our brothers who have over the years provided us with a platform to trade in their continent”
“It is an important day for Nigeria and I believe the event will be boosting our trade relationships, as well as honour those who have been exceptional in getting us where we are today”, he said.
The event has been packaged with an outstanding goup of facilitators like His Excellency, Akinremi Alade Bolaji, High Commissioner of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Singapore who will e delivering the opening remarks at the event
Keynote addresses will be delivered by Mr. Lucky Okonfua, Assistant Director and Dr. Stella Maduka, Director, International Organization, the Presidency Office of The Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
Others are Dr. Yewande Sadiku, Executive Secretary/CEO, Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission; and Hon. Nwabueze Buchi George, Executive Director, Trade Nigeria, while Mr Teo Siong Seng, Chairman, Singapore Business Federation will be delivering the Welcome Remarks at the event.
