Born and raised in the southern part of Nigeria, Mike Maro began writing rhymes and poetry at age 11. As a teenager he developed a passion for stage performance by teaming up with 2 of his best friends to perform covers and occasionally own written songs.
At 16 he recorded his first song and began locally distributing his freestyles to gain notoriety.
Whilst focusing on his education he continued writing and performing at open mics. After graduating University, he has gained work experience working with music industry experts and is set to strictly release original content.
Google Maps is a hip/hop record produced by a producer who goes by the alias Lex. The idea for the track was inspired by my journey on the way to it’s recording.
The global app (Google Maps) was helpful in helping getting me to the studio and once I arrived the beat laid the perfect foundation to build on the song’s concept.
This is a song that is suitable for any listener who is on a journey, travelling or generally in one’s life.
