Plans are almost at the finishing stage for the Nigeria – Korea Economic Forum scheduled for December 2019.

The plans are coming after a successful outing in Singapore where the ‘Nigeria @ 59 National Day Celebration 2019 Singapore’ was held between October to 2 to 6, 2019 as part of the event marking the Nigeria Asia Business Forum, a Nigeria – Asia Joint Trade Mission and Business Delegation of Industries Investments and Commerce to Asia 2019/2020.

Speaking in a meeting held in Singapore, with the Local Organizing Committee and Government Officials from Republic of South Korea the Permanent Secretary, Political and Economic Affairs, The Presidency, Office of The Secretary to the Government of the Federation Abuja, Mr. Gabriel Adadua, said the Nigeria – Asia Business Forum will build investment bridge between Nigeria and Asia.

He described the event as a platform for economic unity between Nigeria and Asian nations, adding that the opportunity it offers both parties are endless.

“Nigeria is the giant of Africa and to achieve something with that, we need to position our country as the main trade destination in Africa and collaborating with our Asian brothers whose developmental exploits in recent times cannot be overlooked in the world economy, is one great move”

“Asia and Africa are experiencing massive development at the moment and we need to explore the endless opportunities, this will offer both continents” Mr. Adadua said.

He then charged the team to ensure that the December event in Korea is a success, while appreciating them for their efforts in making the Singaporean edition memorable.

Also speaking at the meeting, the Director, International Organization, The Presidency, Office of The Secretary to the Government of the Federation Abuja, Dr. Stella Maduka, praised the High Commissioner of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Singapore, His Excellency, Akinremi Alade Bolaji for his commitment and hospitality during the Nigeria @ 59 National Day Celebration 2019 Singapore’.

She assured the Permanent Secretary that the rest of the team and partner organizations will do everything possible to make the Nigeria – Korea Economic Forum scheduled for December 5 to 12, 2019, a success.

Also at the meeting are Mr. Lucky Okonfua, Assistant Director International Organization, The Presidency, Office of The Secretary to the Government of the Federation Abuja; Hon. Nwabueze Buchi George, the Executive Director of Trade Nigeria who also pledged the commitment of his organization in achieving the goals of the Nigeria – Asia Business Forum.

Nigeria – Asia Business Forum, focuses on business, investments, trade, economic exchange and cooperation. It creats a platform of support, growth and balance for bilateral trade relationship between Nigeria and member nation of the Asian continent
