It was a joyful gathering of Obollo Ward APC at Ugonna Retreat Umuchieze Obollo, Isiala Mbano LGA, on 6th October, 2019.

The event had in attendance; Chief Sir Eddy Nnabuihe, Chairman; Mrs. Josephine Amanze, Woman Leader; Udochukwu Uzoenweiro, Youth Leader; Sir Theophilus Duru, Organizing Secretary; Comr. Uzoma Okoroigwe, LGA Youth Leader, Mr. Anselem Ohajianya, Treasurer; Mr. Innocent Onyeka, Financial Secretary; Mrs. Grace Agu, Legal Adviser; two immediate past councillors of Obollo Ward (Hon. Mrs. Julie Nwigwe and Hon. Nkeiru Osuji) and other APC exco members.

Addressing the gathering, Clan Chief, TonyBlack Nduka thanked Obollo Ward APC members for their unalloyed and unflinching support accorded to him in the course of service to better Obollo Ward, Isiala Mbano LGA and Imo State.

He made known that he is not just Obollo Ward leader, but also a leader in Isiala Mbano LGA and Imo State as a whole.

In his words, “I am a grassroots politician who believes in carrying my followers along. We worked with the past governor, Rochas Okorocha for a duration of eight years, after which we completed our assignments with the Rescue Mission.

“It is also on record, that I made an open publication, to watch and study the “Rebuild Imo” agenda of Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha for a period of 100 days, so as to ascertain the viability of his administration.

“The die is cast and the chips are down, as the realities on ground have established that Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha has started with a good pace after his 100 days in office”.

He continued, “I summon this meeting to officially inform APC faithful of Obollo Ward that some delegations of different political parties have visited and requested that I should identify and key in with them, in the bid for good governance. Requests which I deemed fit to seek the opinions of my followers before taking final decision”.

In a swift reaction, Obollo Ward Party Chairman described Clan Chief TonyBlack as a leader who is proactive, pragmatic, competent, visionary and intelligent enough to make the best political choices that will be profitable to Obollo Ward and beyond.

Chief Sir Eddy Nnabuihe pointed out some of the democracy dividends attracted by Clan Chief TonyBlack as a leader of APC.

According to him, “Clan Chief, You are a go-getter and I am certain that whatever you do is for the interest of the populace. On my honour as the Ward Party Chairman, I give you the mandate to use your discretion and identify yourself with any political party that can appreciate your worth and in return, bring succour to our people”.

He then declared that Obollo Ward APC is eager and ready to follow their leader, Clan Chief TonyBlack to any party that he chooses to join.

In the words of Comr. Uzoma Okoroigwe, who is APC LGA Youth Leader, “Clan Chief TonyBlack is an epitome of excellence with enviable political prowess and innovative thinking”.

He further maintained that come rain, come shine, he will remain his ardent follower. He insisted that Clan Chief TonyBlack should do the needful in pursuance of good governance that would be beneficial to the people.

Similarly, the Women Leader posited that Clan Chief TonyBlack is a leader who knows the way and ready to show his followers the way.

She applauded Chief TonyBlack for encouraging and carrying APC members along, against the purported rumour spreading around that he has already left for PDP without informing them.

Also speaking, Hon. Mrs. Julie Nwigwe and Hon. Nkeiru Osuji thanked Clan Chief TonyBlack for successfully installing and sponsoring them as councillors of Obollo Ward.

They resolved to stand by him on any decision and political choices, as they believed that Clan Chief TonyBlack is a leader who has been tested and should be trusted.

Amongst those who spoke in support of Clan Chief TonyBlack joining any political party that will change the narrative of Ugirians and Imolites but maintained that Obollo Ward APC members should not be left behind were Mr. Anselem Ohajianya, Mr. Ben Ezenwa, Mrs. Ann Anyanwu, Sir Theophilus Duru, Mr. Elieze Nwosu, Mrs. Grace Agu, Mr. Ebere Osuji, Mrs. Rose Igboecheonwu, Mrs Gladys Iroegbu, Mrs. Geraldine Eke and Mr. Innocent Onyeka.

The elated Clan Chief TonyBlack Nduka appreciated the contributions made by Obollo Ward APC members.

He promised not to betray the trust and confidence reposed in him and advised them to remain strong, while assuring them that whichever party he goes, he will go with them.
