Governor Emeka Ihedioha CON, has approved the appointment of Hon. Dr Rufus Omeire, as Chief Executive, Imo State Hospitals Management Board(HMB).
Dr. Omeire, represented Ideato North/Ideato South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
He obtained a Doctor of Medicine from the Spartan Health Science University in Vieux Fort, St.Lucia and a B. Sc Degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, United States.
Dr. Omeire worked as Chief Operating Officer for NICAM Medical, Houston Texas, USA.
A global award winner for his outstanding contributions to health development, Dr. Omeire was a Special Assistant on Health, Science and Technology to the immediate past Speaker of the House of Representatives.
He hails from Ideato South LGA of Imo State.
His appointment takes effect immediately
