The Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Ogbuihe Val Amafili, has said that all the party functionaries at the ward, State and National are in tact.
He disclosed this to journalists last week, at the State Party Secretariat Owerri, after a meeting with his 27 Local Government Area Chairmen of the state, on their preparation and sensitization for the forthcoming LGA election
According to him, the problem they had in the party, by reason of litigation then has been put to rest, the party remains indivisible, there is no parallel SDP, they are not fictionalized, that is why they are confidence that they are still strong.
Amafili, explaned that SDP is well ready for the forthcoming Local government election on the state, adding that they are going to be the major player in all the LGA’S Chairmanship and ward councilors position, going by the arsenals the party have put on ground, have convinced him that the party will win, having won some positions at the Federal House of Representatives in the last general election.
Furthermore, he noted that SDP will field in credible candidates, having in-place a wonderful strategy mapped out to match any party one on one, such have given him the confidence that the party will have majority of seats in the Chairmanship and Councillors positions.
He assured the intending candidates of the party that they have the partys support from the ward, to state and zonal level, to ensure their success in the election, while informing other members of the party that the Secretariat is open for all party activities.
