The Court of Appeal sitting in Owerri has nullified the election of a member of Imo State House of Assembly, Hon.Lawman Duruji.

Until his sack, he represented Ehime Mbano State Constituency in the House of Assembly.

The Court in its ruling declared Prince Eze Nduka, candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, as rightful winner of the polls.

Nduka had placed a distant fourth in the election.

Duruji was first elected to the House of Assembly in 2015 on the platform of the APC.

In 2019, he joined the Action Alliance, AA, a platform which he used to be elected a second time and later decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
