With success in Singapore during Nigeria’s Independence Day Celebration and another build up for a similar joint trade mission event at Korea, Trade Nigeria have revealed that they will continue on the same path in 2020.
With more countries to be covered in the Nigeria – Asia Business and Economic Forum, the organization has revealed that 2020 will be a busy year for them with a series of events scheduled for China, Japan, Vietnam and Taiwan.
The Chief Executive Officer of the organization Hon. Nwabueze Buchi George told newsmen in Abuja Nigeria, that even when plans for 2020 has been rolled out, their main concern at the moment is the Nigeria – Korea Economic Forum scheduled for December 5 to 12, 2019.
He revealed that there have been series of meetings in both Nigeria and Korea ahead of the event and all parties involved are working hard to ensure that the main goal which is boasting bilateral trade between Nigeria and Korea is achieved.
“So far, I appreciate the efforts of Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Office of The Secretary to the Government of the Federation Abuja, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) and other agencies whom we are partnering with. What we’re doing is to show each other the endless opportunities we can explore and how we can improve each other if we share developmental ideas as well as other information that can grow our economies”
“Nigeria – Korea Business and Economic Forum is just a baby from the Nigeria – Asia Business and Economic Forum and our aim with the later is to to connect with the massive developmental prowess of China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam and Singapore”
“We can sell to them, they can also invest here to create more jobs for our people, while we can also do the same over there because there are still untapped opportunities only us in Africa can harness” Buchi George said.
With Trade Nigeria wrapping up the year with the Korea event from December 5 to 12, 2019, the dates for other countries in 2020 has been revealed as follows: China – February 17 to 28, 2020; Japan – April 23 to 30, 2020; Vietnam – June 25 – 30, 2020 and Taiwan – July 26 to 29, 2020.
The Trade Nigeria boss, Buchi George also revealed that another plan of 2020 is African – Asia Export Conference which will accommodate other African countries by creating improved trade and economic relationship between African and Asian nations.
He also stated that there is plans for Euro – Africa Economic Summit 2020 which will be kicking off in Finland, with a similar goals with the asian events taking place in China, Japan, Vietnam and Taiwan.
