Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State at a stakeholders meeting held at Amaifeke country home of former Governor Achike Udenwa on Saturday adopted Imo State Governor, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, CON, Omenkeahuruanya, as an illustrious son of Orlu Zone.
Speaking with our correspondent after the crucial meeting, Orlu LGA Chairman of PDP, Rt. Hon. Eugene Okorie, Onyeisiumumu, said: “Governor Ihedioha was adopted as a veritable son of Orlu Zone because of his love, care and attention shown to the Orlu people demonstrated through the lofty appointments such as appointing Dr. Vin Udokwu, Commissioner for Health, Hon, Chief Major Chukwudi Eze, SA to Governor for LGAs and Chieftaincy Affairs,Hon . Chief Aloysius Oluigbo, Orlu LGA Chairman of IMC and others.
Expatiating further, Okorie stated that Ihedioha has shown prompt attention to the causes leading to the shutdown of the Imo State University Teaching Hospital (IMSUTH) Orlu, that happened during the administration of Rochas Okorocha, Orlu son, “Ihedioha-led Rebuild Imo Administration has flagged-off contract awards in Orlu Zone more than expected and for appointing round- peg-in-around-hole as Orlu Local Government Council IMC chairman in the person of Chief Oluigbo, who has done wonderfully well within a short time in office, we, the PDP stakeholders in Orlu LGA, have consequently adopted His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha as our own illustrious son. Therefore, we pledged unalloyed loyalty, support and solidarity to his Rebuild Imo Administration. So, help us God,” Onyeisiumumu conclusively submitted.
