While the bitter rift between Senator Samuel Anyanwu and the present Governor of Imo State, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha may not have been totally resolve, the fearless and fiery Governor of Rivers State, Chief Nyesom Wine has revealed that he plotted Senator Samuel Anyanwu’s failure in the last Peoples Democratic Party primary elections in Imo.
Gov. Wike made the startling revelation recently during Senator Anyanwu’s Thanksgiving Service and Church building launching in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Amaimo, Ikeduru local government area of Imo State.
Wike said Sen. Sam Anyanwu popularly known as Sam Daddy derailed and dishonoured their agreement to allow Governor Emeka Ihedioha be the standard bearer of PDP.
Testifying while addressing the mammoth crowd in the church, he said: “I am part of the plan for his failure. If he had followed our agreement, he would have gone back to the Senate.
“He is still my friend and still relates very cordially with him. That is why I am here to identify with him on his Thanksgiving ceremony and join him in the church building project of St. Columbus Catholic Church.
“Senator Sam Anyanwu is a good politician. Despite losing the party’s Governorship ticket, he has remained faithful to the party”, he said.
Sam Daddy in response commended Wike for coming but quickly added that he should turn his back on his matter both politically and otherwise.
Another political heavy weight present at the occasion was the embattled immediate past Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
Meanwhile Governor Emeka Ihedioha was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Uche Onyeagocha.
Prince Ezeakonobi Madumere, the immediate past Deputy Governor of Imo State who happens to be a brother-in-lae to Sam Daddy was also present at the occasion.
High point of the Thanksgiving Service was the donations for to rebuild St. Patrick Church, where Gov. Wike donated N65 million followed by former Senate President, Saraki who donated N10 million.
Others were Sen. Olujimi Olujimi, Sen Ifeanyi Ararume who promised to donate a car to the Bishop, Rt. Sen. Matthew Solomon donated total sum of N2.2 with a support from his asdociate, Hon. Evan Ikoku, Chairman of All Seasons Hotel donared N1.5 million, Genesis donated N1.5 million among others.
