The apex leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), in Ideato, Imo State, Chief Jude Duruoma (Mmiri Motors) has described the move to revive Concorde Hotel, Owerri as a sign of better days ahead.

The state governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the state government and Marriot International Incorporated for the renovation and management of the hotel.

Speaking to journalists in Owerri, Chief Duruoma stated that the governor by the signing of the MoU has shown commitment to match words with actions.

He noted that previous governments played politics with the hotel, but expressed joy that Governor Uzodinma is out to revive the hotel.

“Previous administrations in the state played politics with Concorde Hotel. They never meant well. But when you see a man who is out to do things differently and in the right way, you will know. His Excellency, Governor Hope Uzodinma has shown the zeal and sagacity to transform the state”, the apex leader stated.

Chief Duruoma maintained that proper management of the hotel is strategic in boosting the economy of the state.

The apex leader therefore encouraged the governor to ensure that the hotel becomes one of the best globally as he has promised.

Chief Duruoma also commended the governor for the well experienced persons he has appointed as advisers.

He submitted that the appointments the governor has made so far and the quality of persons involved reflect the fact that the governor is in a mission to rehabilitate
