His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari is set to receive this year’s National Peace Awards as the Grand patron of peace in Nigeria, endorsing the NPA 2020 is the SA Media to the President, Mr Femi Adeshina. The award which is being organized by the notable and award winning peace advocacy body, The Messengers of Peace hopes to honour other Nigerians from all works of life in view of their tremendous contributions towards maintaining and sustaining peace, unity and development of our dear country, Nigeria.
Other well deserving nominees are The Honourable Minister of State for FCT, Dr. (Mrs) Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu as Grand Matron, MOP, Prof. Gregory Ibe, Owner/Founder of Gregory University as the Patron, Dr (Mrs) Olufolake Abdulrazaq, First Lady, Kwara State as Matron, HRH, Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, The Oni of Ife as the most peaceful traditional ruler in Nigeria, amongst others who have all endorsed the National Peace Awards and pledged their wholesome support for the event and the peace course.
The forthcoming NPA has also been endorsed by many influential Nigerians across the sectors, they include Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, APC National Chairman (Represented by Mr Abbas Braimoh, His Chief of State and Hon. Ken Ihensekhien, His Principal Private Secretary), Chief Dan Nwanyanwu, National Chairman Zenith Labour Party, Distinguished Senator Kabiru Gaya representing Kano South Senatorial district, Faze, a top Nigerian music super star and many of His colleagues from the entertainment industry, Mr Gboyega Famodun, the Osun State APC Chairman and a host of others.
The National President of The Messengers of Peace, Dr. Suleiman Adejoh has over the years displayed compassionate, sacrificial, relentless and fair peace drive as well as playing host to prestigious events targeted at birthing a peaceful Nation upon which development and greatness can be achieved.
In retrospect, the National Peace Awards has been one of the most distinguished and well attended Award events in Nigeria. It has honoured and decorated the excellent impacts and contributions of patriotic leaders and well-meaning Citizens both in public and private sectors in Nigeria.
The big stage is set, as the organizing committee identifies nominations across the several award categories for the 2020 National Peace Awards holding in Abuja. According to the chairman and president of Messengers of Peace, Dr. Suleiman Adejo, he stated that the 2020 edition of the National Peace Awards was strictly on merit, reference and outstanding performance. He also noted that the occasion will be epoch and delightful.
